There's a lot of "folklore" that goes into editing and producing our journals. In this section, we're going to attempt to write down and capture that folklore, so both our editors and authors will have a better understanding of what's involved in producing a publication.

Please note that this page is definitely rough, and that the notes are absolutely, positively not formatted like we'd expect articles. But we wanted to get them down somewhere. Eventually, we'll rewrite them nicely.

Here are some interesting resources (some are very much works in progress):

  • Understanding PowerBoard URLs: Actually, this is an article in Salon about understanding URLs used in Table Talk, their discussion boards. But since the PowerBoards and Salon use the same conferencing system, we can point this out as an interesting resource, albeit in Salon's own inimitable style.
